Trip to Windsor Castle

Yesterday's excursion was great. We went by bus to Windsor Castle. On the way there, we came across fascinating sights such as the nice buildings and the big fields. When we arrived, our teachers gave us worksheets about the castle. We walked in groups through Windsor Castle and searched for information.
When we finished with the sightseeing tour, we ate something and went shopping in Windsor's shopping mall for two hours. It was such a nice fun to be on your own with friends. But after a moment it rained cats and dogs. But this didn't stop us from our shopping spree.
But the time got lost very fast.We met each other infront of the building at 3 o' clock and then we went back on our various busses to Queenswood.

The day was a big success!

Something about me

Hello.
My name is Nikola Opheys, but my friends call me Niki.
I live together with my big sister and my parents in a house in Germany. It's in a little village called Ratingen-Hosel near by Dusseldorf.
There I play in my free time very often tennis with my friends, one hour per week I play the piano and 4 hours per week I sing in a band.If the weather is nice we always eat ice cream in the best ice cream parlour of the world. My favourite is chocolate and what's yours?
Everyday I go with all my friends by train to highschool in Essen-Werden.The journey take about only 10 minutes.
It's varied being here at Queenswood and get to know new people and stay in contact with them after my time here. After my stay at Queenswood I'll go to Greece with my familiy and will tell them everything about my new friends.
My favourite food are pizza and spaghetti.I also nibble chocolate in the afternoon!
At weekends I always go shopping or swimming with friends or I do something with my family.
Now you know a lot of things about me and I think that's enough.

Bye.

My first day at Queenswood

When I arrived at the airport in London-Heathrow on Monday evening I had to wait with two other german boys for 6 other student for 2 or 3 hours. That's why I was one of the latest students who arrived. When the others at last came, we went by bus to Queenswood. The journey took us about an hour. When we reached the college with the beautiful building while it was raining, we had to check in and to write a test in the late evening. The test was quite easy.We had to do multiplechoice exercises and short essay about what we've done at the last weekend and after that we had an oral test where we got to speak to some tutors about our village.
Then one staff carried my luggage to my room while I went behind him because I am too weak!
I got to know three girls from different countries in my room. They were really friendly to me!
We laughed a lot.

Trip to the British Museum

Yesterday all the junior pupils visited the British Museum in London. We went there by big busses. The way to London took around one hour and my friends and I was really tired. When we arrived we walked first through London where we made a sight seeing tour.We saw Big Ben,Piccadilly Circus,Trafalgar,Buckingham Palace and St. James Park.
After the London-Tour we visited the British Museum. Our funny teacher wanted us to do exercises. We had to found out five most important things about America and to present it in our lessons infront of the class today.
In the late afternoon we drove back to Queenswood and had lunch.
